SARAJEVO, September 11 (FENA) – Implementation of the demining project started today in area Vela in Ilidža municipality.
Works will be executed by members of Association " Mine Detection Dog Center " BiH.
Operations officer Hamdija Šišić told FENA that two manual teams of the Association will participate in demining.
Total surface of area suspected to be polluted is 833.704 square meters. Demining is planned to be completed in 34 days, he added.
Šišić emphasized it is a very demanding area because they expect to find different kinds of anti-personnel and tank mines.
He stated that all demining projects are done in cooperation with the BiH Mine Action Center (BHMAC), which is in charge of planning and demining in the entire area of BiH.
