SARAJEVO, August 29 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović met today with King of Jordan, Abdullah II in Amman.
At the meeting in the Royal Palace of Al Husseinieh, the two officials highlighted friendly and historical ties between the two countries and nations.
Izetbegović thanked King Abdullah II for the assistance Jordan provided in the post-war reconstruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He especially emphasized the role of the royal family in proclaiming the Old Bridge a symbol of peace, as well as supporting the establishment of the International College in Mostar.
Izetbegović emphasized the role of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the international anti-terror coalition and gave recognition to the Kingdom of Jordan for contributing to the fight against terrorism.
Chairman Izetbegović invited King Abdullah II to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he gladly accepted, stated the BiH Presidency.
