SARAJEVO, August 9 (FENA) - In July this year, the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board recorded the largest number in tourist visits to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina since the board has kept the statistics, FENA learns from the Tourism Board of the SC.
The numbers are noteworthy, but the official statistics of the tourism board will be known later.
The guests come from the neighboring and other countries but also there are a lot of domestic tourists.
This trend is also visible during the Sarajevo Film Festival, but other guests are arriving in Sarajevo other than those directly involved with this international event.
According to the official data of the Tourism Board, 71,000 guests visited the Sarajevo Canton in July this year, which is 19.5 percent more than in the same period last year.
There were 169,000 registered overnight stays, or 17.6 percent more than in July 2017, according to the official data of the Tourism Board.
Most of the visitors were from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
