SARAJEVO, July 4 (FENA) – Chair of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović met in Sarajevo today with Minister of Defense of the Republic of Turkey Nurettin Çanıklı.
During the meeting they emphasized that BiH and Turkey have traditionally friendly relations and added they expect bilateral relations to continue developing in the future.
Chair Izetbegović thanked for assistance the Republic of Turkey has given to Armed Forces of BiH through Agreement on Military-Financial Cooperation, through training of cadets and donation of military equipment which exceeds 8.000.000 KM, which contributes to peace and stability in BiH and the entire region.
They agreed that stability of BiH is a precondition of stability of wider region, and membership in the European integration and activation of MAP significantly contributes to preservation of peace.
Meeting was attended by adviser Zoran Djerić on behalf of Member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić and adviser Igor Planinić on behalf of Member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović, PR Office of the BiH Presidency stated.
