March in memory of war victims of Ključ municipality

KLJUČ, July 1 (FENA) - Citizens of Ključ, former concentration camp inmates and members of ARBiH have reminded of suffering of population in this municipality from May to September 1992 for third year in a row.

Nearly a hundred participants took a 64 kilometer long march on Friday, 29th June, which started in front of the Muslim memorial cemetery in Ključ. They passed by thirty murder sites, where local residents in villages Prhovo, Sanica, Biljani, Botonjići, Avdići, Velagići were killed from May to September 1992.

They visited all Muslim cemeteries and mass grave locations in these areas, and concluded the march today at the "Alija Izetbegović" city square in Ključ.

According to president of Association of Concentration Camp Inmates "prof. Omer Filipović" Fahrudin Ćemal, 612 Bosniaks were killed in this municipality during that period. Out of that number, 563 were exhumed from mass graves Lanište I, Lanište II, Crvena zemlja and thirteen more graves.
