SARAJEVO, June 29 (FENA) - European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc stated in Sarajevo today that Pelješac Bridge is a project co-financed by the European Commission based on documentation delivered by Croatia, and that if BiH authorities do not agree with this information they can turn to the European Commission with a written request.
“Funds secured for this project come from regional funds. BiH authorities can send their written comments to the Commission if they do not agree with certain information,” said Bulc.
She emphasized importance of BiH having infrastructural projects to apply for funds of the EU and international financial institutions in the context of their preparation and appropriate tender documentation, whether they are projects on the corridor or a wider network.
“BiH is one of the very important transport, transitional routes to the coast and the Mediterranean,” said Bulc, adding they discussed priorities on Corridor 5-C and Adriatic-Ionian route.
She underlined the importance of BiH solving problems regarding building of infrastructure in cooperation with Croatia.
