SARAJEVO, May 14 (FENA) - Ambassadors of Reconciliation, participants of the USAID re:Generation project, whose goal is to empower young people in the process of advocating reconciliation in their communities and to enable them to access the knowledge and skills needed to create a more beautiful and brighter common future, today in Sarajevo completed visits to cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and thus completed the first part of the project.
The visit to Sarajevo was used by young activists to meet with US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack and the USAID Mission Director in BiH Peter Duffy, when they presented their activities and talked about the results and experiences gained during the project work.
The task of the Ambassadors of Reconciliation over the past few months was to awaken activism and enthusiasm, especially in younger generations, and point out the importance of respect, reconciliation and co-existence among all citizens in BiH, through the exchange of experiences, discussions, panels and various socially responsible actions.
The success of this will be shown in the documentary directed by Emir Kapetanović, whose is expected to premiere this fall. The film will, among other things, show that there are at least 200 examples in BiH that prove that citizens, despite all the divisions, work together toward a better BiH, the organizers said.
