SREBRENICA, May 4 (FENA) - Representatives of the Dutch organization PortAgora from Tilburg visited today the Municipality of Srebrenica and met with the Municipal Mayor Mladen Grujičić with whom they discussed the reconstruction project of the Pivnica facility in the city center.
The Mayor of the Srebrenica municipality, Mladen Grujičić, said that this would be the center for where the youth will be gathering.
“The Dutch will invest 600,000 KM for the reconstruction of the facility. We will do our best to do everything in our power and speed up the administration, because our desire is to start the works as soon as possible. Companies in Srebrenica will be involved in the work of the facility in order to retain the money in Srebrenica. We will try to make savings during the reconstruction, so that we can realize other projects which are many,” Mr. Grujčić said.
Today, organization Srebrenica Wave was registered, with Muamer Čivić and Miroslav Andrić as members.
“We struggled to achieve our dream. The building will be multifunctional and serve for various cultural content. This is a great hope for Srebrenica, our goal is to change the situation in the city, and we also talked about new projects,” member of the Srebrenica Wave organization Muamer Čivić said.
The PortAgora Executive Director, Jan van Esch, has been visiting Srebrenica for twenty years now and says he is delighted with the project launched by young people.
“Srebrenica is known all over the world for its past. Our goal is that in the future Srebrenica becomes known for something else. The multifunctional center will be the seat of culture for the whole region,” Mr. Esch said.
