SARAJEVO, April 20 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović received today a delegation of the Government of German state Baden-Württemberg, chaired by Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann.
Chairman Izetbegović emphasized the traditionally good and friendly relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Federal Republic of Germany and expressed the conviction that this visit would contribute to a more significant expansion of cooperation, especially in the field of economy and education.
Minister-President Kretschmann informed the BiH Presidency Chairman that the delegation included a large number of businessmen, representatives of educational institutions, as well as civil society representatives who were coming with an intention to intensify the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the state of Baden-Württemberg. He said that the owners of companies in this state intended to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that it is necessary to work on strengthening the rule of law, transparency and eliminating bureaucratic obstacles for the realization of these investments. They also discussed the dual education system in Germany and its possible application to the professional education of the workforce in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the expert support of the German partners.
The collocutors also discussed the Strategy of the Danube Region and the possibility for Bosnia and Herzegovina to engage in the realization of projects within that strategy, the BiH Presidency said.
