SARAJEVO, April 10 (FENA) - Deciding upon the Motion of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order the Suspects Mirko Ateljević and Blagoje Kovač into custody, on 7 April 2018 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rendered the Decision granting the Prosecution Motion and ordering the Suspects Mirko Ateljević and Blagoje Kovač into custody on grounds of Article 132(1)(b) of the CPC of BIH (a justified risk that if at liberty the Suspect might influence witnesses and accomplices or hinder the criminal proceedings by destroying, hiding, altering or forging evidence or clues relevant to the criminal proceedings), and Article 132(1)(c) of the CPC of BIH (existence of particular circumstances that justify the fear that the Suspect shall repeat or continue the criminal offences).
Under the said Decision, the custody may last no longer than one month as of the day of deprivation of liberty until 5 May 2018.
Mirko Ateljević and Blagoje Kovač are suspected of the criminal offense Organized Crime in violation of Article 250(2) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC of BiH) as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs in violation of Article 195(1) of the CC of BiH, the BiH Court stated.
