MOSTAR, Mar 22 (FENA) – At today’s session in Mostar the delegates of the Assembly of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC), will discuss the Draft Law on Supplementary Rights of Veterans and their Family Members.
Before the session, Cantonal Minister for the Veterans’ Issues, Oliver Soldo, said that it was a law that should make some improvements to the quality of life of veterans after 12 years and should be harmonized with the positive legal regulations adopted at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the veterans and provide for new quality in solving the accumulated problems in the veterans' population.
- The law is quite realistic and it should advance through years. In the current year, through the budget, funds have been secured for this law and funds will be increased in the coming year - Minister Soldo explained.
He added that this law would solve the three crucial issues of the veterans.
One of them, says Minister Soldo, improves the quality of life in terms of enhanced health care, another is a better quality of housing care, and the third is employment.
According to the adopted agenda of today's session, these items will be considered: the Proposal of the Work Program of the HNC Assembly for 2018, the Draft Law on Noise Protection and the Decision on Credits of the HNC for the Energy Efficiency Project in 2018.
Delegates will also declare themselves on the Proposal of the Law on Adult Education of the HNC and on the Decision on the Establishment of the Commission for the Veterans’ Issues at the HNC Assembly.
