Šarović to sign agreement with SIDA for BiH agriculture strengthening project

SARAJEVO, March 6 (FENA) – BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović will sign the Special Agreement with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) for the implementation of a special project "Strengthening Export Potentials and Improving Competitiveness of BiH Agricultural Producers", decided the BiH Council of Ministers on today's session.

This will enable the BiH Veterinary Office to continue activities related to the brucellosis vaccination of small ruminants in 2018 in order to protect the general health in BiH. In addition, brucellosis control in BiH is also of great importance for the protection of domestic production and continued unhindered exports of milk and dairy products to the European Union market.

For the realization of this project in 2018, SIDA secured a donation of 9.5 million SEK.

This special agreement stems from the previously concluded agreement between Sweden and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Council of Ministers stated.
