SARAJEVO, February 28 (FENA) - Bulgarian Ambassador to BiH Avgustina Tzvetkova-Karabasheva today in Sarajevo at a meeting with BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak, welcomed the submission of BiH's responses to the European Commission Questionnaire.
She pointed out that the Bulgarian presidency of the EU is an exceptional opportunity for the entire region to progress and use the momentum of the European integration process.
She recalled the importance of the European perspective of the countries of the entire region and their obligation to build sustainable peace, security, trust and good neighborly relations.
She announced that the Summit EU - Western Balkans will be held in Sofia in May, with the aim of increasing the efforts in the EU integration process, stated the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Crnadak informed the Bulgarian Ambassador about the planned Ministerial Meeting of six Western Balkan countries (WB6) on 16 March in Sarajevo.
He thanked Bulgaria, a country currently presiding over the European Union, for its support, as the countries of the Western Balkans and their European perspective have been placed in the focus of Bulgaria’s EU presidency.
She emphasized that the EU Strategy for the Western Balkans is a proof of the renewed approach of European institutions towards all Western Balkan countries and assessed that the EU has defined this area as a political, economic and security priority.
