Minister of Education of RS still not recognizing Bosnian language

FENA Dušica Stanojević

BANJA LUKA, February 21 (FENA) - Minister of Education and Culture of RS Dane Malešević stated today that the issue of use of languages of constituent peoples is regulated by the Constitution.

After a discussion in the entity parliament on Bill on Secondary Education, he announced they will not accept amendments of the Coalition "Homeland", which requests to state that Bosniak children in RS study Bosnian language.

"Provisions on use of language and script are the same in the laws on elementary and secondary education. Law on Elementary Education was assessed by the Constitutional Court, which determined it is in accordance with the Constitution of BiH," said Malešević.
