MOSTAR, October 27 (FENA) - The Federal Government has given the approval to accept a grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), intended to finance the modernization project of the water and sanitation sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the adopted decision, the Federation of BiH accepts a grant intended for the financing of this project according to the Grant Agreement concluded between BiH and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in the role of administrator of the Trust Fund of one donor, in the amount of 1,150,000 dollars, out of a total 2,300,000 dollars of grant funds approved for BiH. Any subsequent amount approved by the donor will not exceed $3,500,000 in aggregate.
The grant funds will be used to finance the Project for the Modernization of Water and Sanitary Services to support utility companies in strengthening the institutional, financial and legal framework and capacity in the water and utility sector, and to ensure the sustainability of investments in infrastructure.
The Government of FBiH confirmed that the documentation is acceptable to the Federation, especially the Grant Agreement between BiH and IBRD.
