SARAJEVO, June 13 (FENA) - President of Our Party Edin Forto is one of the signatories of the Agreement on the Principles of Ensuring Functional BiH, which was signed yesterday in Brussels.

Forto said that he attended the meeting as the leader of the party that is a parliamentary party at the state level and which has confirmed countless times, with concrete work, that it is ready to apply the principles of EU governance in BiH.

- Where we are not in power, we have done so through proposals for initiatives and laws, which the majority, embodied in national parties, wholeheartedly rejected. Where we are in power, first of all I mean the Sarajevo Canton, but also the Tuzla Canton where we also spent part of our mandate in power, we have done a lot, especially in the fight against corruption. So the story that made us meet in Brussels yesterday is actually our story and we are not and will never be its obstructors. I also told Charles Michel that we respect the EU institutions and insist on returning BiH to the European path. I also told him that we were also aware of the fact that there were people at that meeting who were blocking the European path for the citizens of BiH. We are not sure whether the big EU institutions see the difference between the different political options in BiH, but what I know is that the citizens of BiH see - said Forto.

He also pointed out who worked in BiH. European path will continue to work on it. Whoever has obstructed will continue to obstruct.

- The EU should exclusively look for allies in the progressive forces, and the citizens should vote for them in October. That is the only thing that can lead us forward. It is clear from the Report of the European Commission for BiH published at the end of 2021 that we are the last in the region in progress towards the EU. No progress has been made in the fight against corruption and organized crime, except where a state-level coalition is not in power. None of the 14 priorities necessary for BiH's EU candidate status have been met. All this was written in the report by the European Commission itself, clearly recognizing the culprits, which it invited to the meeting again, offering them the opportunity to give another promise, the fulfillment of which we will waste time on because the culprits for the current situation cannot fulfill it. party Edin Forto.

Forto stated that he believes that the citizens will feel the change when the state is not governed by a coalition that neither wants nor works for the change to happen, said the Public Relations Department of Our Party.
