MOSTAR, May 29 (FENA) - The Hub of Fine Arts opened its door in Mostar on Saturday night with an exhibition of works worth 300 million KM.
Israeli businessman Amir Gross Kabiri, founder and owner of The Hub of Fine Arts, and chairman of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Dragan Čović officially opened the Hub yesterday.
On that occasion, Kabiri pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina has great potential to be the heart of the Balkans, and that the citizens of Mostar deserve to live prosperously.
“This part of the project is my contribution to this country and this city to show that I believe and will continue to invest in Mostar to become better,” he said.
Čović added that The Hub of Fine Arts has an ambience that is "unrepeatable" and that with such exhibitions Mostar is returning to the map of cultural events in Europe.
This kind of cultural space is a 'booster' in the tourist and cultural sense for Mostar, according to Mayor Mario Kordić.
He expressed his belief that tourists, as well as citizens of Mostar, will be happy to come to The Hub of Fine Arts, spend time there and enjoy.
Curator Danijela Ucović introduced the visitors to the details of the exhibition paintings, saying that the collection The Hub of Fine Arts is a small part of the larger collection of the MTA Foundation, which was created 70 years ago.
According to her, the best examples of art were chosen to show all that is the true capacity of an era.
Finally, she emphasized that this collection is one of the most important in the Balkans when it comes to modern art, and that it brings together some of the most important names in art history.
