SARAJEVO, May 5 (FENA) - Numerous delegations laid flowers today at the Memorial to the Murdered Children of the Besieged Sarajevo from 1992 to 1995, on the occasion of marking the Day of Remembrance.
Among the delegations were the BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović and the Presidency member Željko Komšić.
"Today we remember the murdered children of the besieged Sarajevo, we pay tribute to all the victims and what hurts the most at the moment is that only a small number of those who ordered these heinous crimes have been held accountable.
There are a lot of those who are responsible for the murder of 1,601 children and all of them must be brought to justice That is the job of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH," said Džaferović.
During the siege of Sarajevo, 1,601 children were murdered, and the plaque carrying the names of the children is part of the memorial.
