SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - The resolution on the public interest in the functioning of the Public Radio and Television Broadcasting Service (BHRT), which requested that the Taxation Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina unblock the transaction accounts of that media house, was adopted unanimously at today's session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.
On the occasion of the current difficulties in which BHRT fell due to debts, the mentioned resolution was proposed by MPs Sanela Prašović Gadžo and Irfan Čengić, calling for the unblocking of accounts due to the existence of 870 BHRT workers and their families.
Gadžo Prašović stated that the workers are not to blame for the unenviable current position of this media house, so unblocking the accounts, she added, should be the first step towards overcoming the difficulties.
Along with the Resolution, at the suggestion of MP Adis Arapović, the FBiH institutions and administrative bodies were asked by a special conclusion to take care in their activities to help BHRT not to jeopardize the operations of the FBiH Radio and Television (RTVFBiH).
After these decisions, the session of the House of Representatives was adjourned and the resumption was announced for Wednesday next week, when MPs should decide on the proposed law on financial consolidation and restructuring of public health institutions in FBiH, and previously on many amendments submitted to that text.
