SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, after meeting with USAID Administrator Samantha Power and US Ambassador Eric Nelson, said that the US officials in BiH have a hidden agenda to centralize BiH.
Part of the meeting was dedicated to the functioning of BiH and its perspective, and the influence of the United States on the political situation in BiH was discussed.
"I said that American officials here have a hidden agenda with which they are trying to centralize BiH to the extent that the Dayton solutions are not respected. Their agenda supports the work of the illegal BiH Constitutional Court. I don't think the meeting produced anything special. I said that we remain committed to peace in BiH. We will not make the status of the Republika Srpska a priority that would endanger peace. In that regard, we will continue to respect the BiH constitution," said Dodik.
He states that the Republika Srpska is grateful for the financial assistance that USAID provided to that entity, and that he is glad that the plans of USAID Administrator Samantha Power do not lack future assistance to that entity.
He believes that Power should have met with representatives of RS institutions, and that by not doing so, it showed disrespect for those institutions. He noted that the High Representative had no right to pass laws in BiH, and that US officials had made the mistake of supporting lawlessness and wrongdoing.
Dodik points out that the US interference in the internal affairs of BiH is becoming serious, and that at no time has the US been invited to deal with corruption in BiH or some other issues in the country.
"I have received information that American officials in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH are looking for a suitable prosecutor who would find anything against me that could incriminate me for corruption," he said.
He underlined that BiH citizens should not be afraid of war and that there was never a need to deploy NATO forces in Brčko.
Regarding the issue of the return of RS representatives to BiH institutions, Dodik points out that the Republika Srpska entity will continue to follow the conclusions of the RS National Assembly and that participation in institutions will be discussed with the opposition.
