BRČKO, January 18 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Šefik Džaferović and Fadil Novalić visited the Brčko District of BiH today, where they discussed the needs of that part of BiH with representatives of District institutions.
As it was pointed out after the meetings, the visit was organized to inform the delegation led by Džaferović and Novalić of the situation in that part of BiH, and they said that they were assured that the situation was stable.
At the press conference, Džaferović said that stability and peace are the most important two things that are important to constantly repeat and at the same time build the Brčko District, but also the whole of BiH in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement.
- It is necessary to preserve the achieved level of reforms, to move forward on our European and NATO path and to carry out economic and overall social reforms because there is no other way. No unilateral moves to change things can have a good result - Džaferović added.
He called for action in BiH institutions, where proposals and ideas should be presented, which will then be tested to see if they can receive support in institutions.
When there is a stable situation, says Džaferović, then it is possible to discuss the most important things for life in BiH, economic development and overall social development, and in the Brčko District it means the successful business of Brčko port, gas interconnections, electrification of the railway from Banovići to Brčko and highway construction Sarajevo-Belgrade.
In the end, he called on all political actors from the Brčko District, a highly multiethnic environment, for peace, stability and tolerant rhetoric, respect for the BiH Constitution and laws adopted in BiH.
The Mayor of Brčko, Esed Kadrić, assessed that the government institutions in that part of BiH have achieved a high level of resistance to all influences and events with the intention of preserving political stability, and have overcome the biggest challenges and shown a high degree of respect and understanding.
Now, he notes, they are focused on continuing activities on the realization of important projects, in which they have the support of Džaferović and Novalić.
Kadrić told the citizens of the District that there is no reason to feel fear, but that the institutions have their own responsibilities and obligations, placing great trust in the District Police.
Džaferović and Novalić also met with the Deputy Mayor of the Brčko District of BiH, Ante Domić, and the President and Vice President of the Assembly of the Brčko District of BiH, Siniša Milić and Ivo Filipović.
During the visit, the delegation walked around the city and visited the newly opened premises of the Coordinator of the Government of the Federation of BiH for the Brčko District of BiH.
