SARAJEVO, December 5 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović sent a letter of condolence over the death of former US Senator Bob Dole, stated the Presidency of BiH.
"I received the news of the death of Bob Dole, a former US senator and a great friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with deep sadness. I sympathize with his family and friends at this time. At a time when many in the international community passively and indifferently watched the brutal aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the genocidal attack on the Bosniak people, Senator Dole, together with his colleagues in the US Congress, was the true voice of justice and conscience of humanity," wrote Džaferović in his letter.
Dole's tireless efforts, he added, to lift the unjustly imposed arms embargo were a struggle to save a civilization that, remaining silent in the face of the suffering of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, began to slide down the brink of ruin.
"Senator Dole's sense of justice binds us eternally and we will remember him forever. May he rest in peace, wrote a member of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović.
