Zvizdić and Fazlić on migrants: Ensure better coordination

BIHAĆ, September 23 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Denis Zvizdić, as part of a two-day visit to the Una-Sana Canton, met with Bihać Mayor Šuhret Fazlić to discuss current development projects of the City of Bihać, and on the migrant situation.

They agree that it is necessary to ensure better coordination of all levels of state government, but also state and local authorities with international and other organizations that are dealing with the care of migrants, especially because of the arrival of winter and the problems that this time period brings.

They concluded that the adoption of the new Law on Asylum and the Law on Foreigners requires the involvement of the BiH PA.

The development of tourist infrastructure was also discussed, especially after the coronavirus pandemic, knowing that Bihać is very attractive to foreign visitors and investors due to its natural beauty and the protected area of the Una River.

The Mayor of Bihać also informed Zvizdić about the project of gasification of Bihać and the complete USC, and about the need to reach an interstate agreement with the Republic of Croatia, the Press Service of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
