Ajdinović: The crisis has shown that FUZIP is ready to respond to challenges

SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - Director of the FBiH Administration for Inspection Affairs (FUZIP) Anis Ajdinović said today that the crisis caused by the coronavirus showed that the Administration is ready to successfully respond to major challenges and collective threats.

At the annual press conference, Ajdinović said that the coronavirus pandemic and the declaration of the state of disaster in FBiH redirected their activities primarily to the suppression of the virus, protection of public health and consumer rights of citizens, while not neglecting other priority tasks within FBiH inspectorates.

He specified that in 2020, 181,918 inspections, 6,584 internal controls, 129,767 cross-border controls, and 45,560 sanitary and health controls at border crossings were performed during the declaration of the state of accident in the Federation of BiH.

Ajdinović stated that the number of misdemeanor proceedings involving the issuance of misdemeanor warrants was 2,234, that 1,659 decisions on the elimination of deficiencies, 88 decisions on the temporary prohibition of work and 18 seals were issued, two reports on criminal offenses were filed, and 2,224 illegal workers were registered.

“The total financial effects amounted to 15,338,283.12 KM, and the value of products temporarily put out of circulation 682,968 KM,” underlined Ajdinović.

He added that in the mentioned period, 2,533 phytosanitary certificates were issued at the border crossings, as well as five decisions banning imports.
