Croat caucus in FBiH HoP: Prosecute Pendić for threatening journalist Galić

SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - Deputies of the Croat caucus in the House of Peoples of the Federation BiH Parliament strongly condemn the death threats against journalist Branimir Galić from Haris Pendić and requests from the FBiH Police Administration and the competent prosecutor's office to take legal measures to prosecute Haris Pendić as soon as possible, announced the House of Peoples.

According to further statements, Pendić is recognizable by disturbing messages of hatred that he has been spreading on social networks for months.

“Death threats, frightening and extremely insulting hate speech sent to journalist Branimir Galić these days, require an urgent reaction from those responsible, which has been lacking in recent months because Pendić is still at large after numerous outbursts of hate speech and threats. He was not deprived of liberty even after he threatened journalist Branimir Galić a few months ago, and he repeated the same threats these days after learning that Galić reported him to the competent institutions, primarily to the FBiH Police Administration. We publicly urge the FBiH Police Administration and the competent prosecutor's office to process the death threats and hate speech, which were sent to journalist Galić, as soon as possible, because that is the only way to stop the perpetrator,” it is said in the statement.

The members of the Croat caucus further state that in addition to the slowness of the institutions in this case, the grief and silence of the representatives of international organizations that should deal with the protection of the rights of all peoples and citizens in BiH.
