Novalić: Support we have from NATO is unquestionable

SARAJEVO, December 4 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, attended today the handover ceremony between the former commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, US Brigadier General William Edwards, and the new commander of the US Army Brigadier General, Eric Folkestad.

On that occasion, Prime Minister Novalić stated that NATO and Bosnia and Herzegovina have long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as that the support that BiH has from NATO is unquestionable.

“NATO and Bosnia and Herzegovina have long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, as Brigadier General Edwards said. The support we have from NATO is unquestionable and we especially appreciate the commitment of the Allies for Stability and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I remind you that we have a clear path towards NATO and I am convinced that our country will soon become a member. I would like to express my gratitude to the current Commander for his support and to all that NATO Missions have done so far, I would especially like to thank them for their support in achieving the goals set in our country's Reform Program, which is a framework for continuous cooperation between NATO and Bosnia. Herzegovina within which the Federation of BiH has its contribution. I would like to welcome and happy work to the new commander and I am convinced that he will also work on Bosnia and Herzegovina taking big steps towards NATO membership,” said Novalić.
