Initiative - Will the votes by mail arrive on time?

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, October 21 (FENA) - Members of the "My Address: Srebrenica" initiative call on the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to answer the question as soon as possible whether the materials of voters who vote by mail in the upcoming local elections in BiH will be delivered on time. They are interested in that because of the necessary timely submission and their votes in the summary election results.

“As there is a huge fear in the public whether the election material will arrive from overseas countries on time due to the coronavirus pandemic and very difficult air traffic, we ask the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to inform us about it, with the prior opinion of the Post of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” announced the Initiative "My address: Srebrenica".

They also warn that their attempts to find out whether election material will arrive on time mostly end up being ignored by the responsible institutions.

They believe that the CEC has so far had to have a response from the BiH Post on how long it takes for the election material to go and return to the continents and countries where BiH citizens live, and they have registered to vote by mail.
