SARAJEVO, October 16 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vojin Mitrović held a telephone meeting with Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in BiH Ellen Germain on the second and third phases of digitalization, i.e. its establishment in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and which was preceded by a meeting with the Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH Eric Nelson, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH announced.
At the beginning of the talks, Minister Mitrović thanked for the support provided by the US Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to European integration and the establishment of better economic cooperation between the two countries.
As Minister Mitrović pointed out, they are currently working on the harmonization of technical specifications, and it is planned to announce an international tender soon for all those interested in and outside BiH.
Minister Mitrović and Deputy Chief Germain also discussed the issues of cyber security, i.e. secure data exchange and secure network. The interlocutors agreed that special attention should be paid to this problem in order to enable the secure exchange of data and information.
Minister Mitrović emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina is about to establish legislation that would define the area of cyber security, after which it is necessary to implement technical solutions that would define and solve the problem of network security.
At the end of the conversation, Minister Mitrović thanked Ambassador Nelson and his Deputy Germain for their support, emphasizing that all laws proposed by the Ministry he heads must be harmonized with the entities and the Brčko District, but also European directives because BiH plans to be a member of the European Union in the coming period.
