SDA urges all political subjects to relax political relations in the country

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 11 (FENA) - The Collegium of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) at today's session called on political entities to act towards the relaxation of political relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to contribute to the unblocking and coordinating the activities of state institutions in order to mitigate economic and all other consequences, and accelerate the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The SDA supported the initiative of the Presidency of BiH, which forms an ad hoc political Working Group  in order to accelerate the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The SDA Collegium welcomed the messages from the European Union-Western Balkans Summit, which confirmed the clear and firm European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They sent out an invitation to the HDZ BiH to respect the conclusions of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to stop blocking the work of the institutions and obstructing the initiative for an accelerated European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported by the European Commission and all other political stakeholders in BiH.

The SDA has asked the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit to the Central Bank of BiH a conclusion in line with the Constitution of BiH and the position of the entities, which is necessary to make the urgently needed IMF intervention funds at disposal to everyone.

They also ask the BiH Council of Ministers to provide the necessary financial resources for the preparation and holding of local elections in October this year.

Finally, the SDA reiterates its call on Cardinal Vinko Puljić and the Vrhbosna Archdiocese to reconsider their decision to hold a mass in Sarajevo to commemorate events in Bleiburg.

"We call on the citizens to refrain from expressing their disagreement with the holding of the mass by the Catholic Church in a way that could lead to incidents," announced after the session the SDA collegium.
