SARAJEVO, April 10 (FENA) - 'This is Radio Sarajevo! Death to Fascism - Freedom to the People' are the words of newscaster, Djordje Lukić Cigo, that marked the beginning of Radio Sarajevo on April 10, 1945. This date was also noted as the date of commencement of the work of the Public Broadcasting Service in BiH, today's BHRT, the Radio-Television of BiH reported.
As part of marking of 75 years of the Radio - Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT), "Time Machine" was broadcasted from April 1 to April 10, as a reminder of the best informative and documentary shows, sport events and broadcasts, special projects, entertainment and musical contents, children's shows, and cultural and drama programs.
In this way, the memories of "everything that BHRT has created throughout its history, all programs that has produced, and how important the survival of the Public Service in BiH is, have been evoked."
Marking the 75th anniversary of BHRT during the coronavirus pandemic was not held as it was planned, many of the contents planned by the BHRT for the program's anniversary were reduced, so that it adjusted its capacity to programs related to the pandemic.
“Although in difficult circumstances, BHRT offered content with which we prove every day that it is a public service to all BiH citizens,” stated BHRT Director-General Belmin Karamehmedović, adding that BHRT employees have shown full professionalism in their reporting and fact-based information and official reports from competent institutions, without sensationalism and fake news.
