SARAJEVO, March 17 (FENA) - Situation at the Sarajevo International Airport is changing by the hour. Most airlines have reduced flights to and from Sarajevo as prevention of spread of coronavirus, Spokesperson for the Sarajevo International Airport, Sanja Bagarić, confirmed for FENA.
She stressed that there will be five outbound and five inbound flights today.
“Today we expect the arrival of planes from Doha, then from Cologne, Stuttgart, Zagreb and Istanbul, and return flights to these destinations are planned,” said Bagarić.
Flights to Vienna and Belgrade are canceled.
Austrian Airlines canceled all flights from March 19-28 to Vienna, while Croatia Airlines canceled all morning and night flights to Zagreb by March 28.
“Representatives of the Sarajevo International Airport are in contact with all relevant institutions, and we have taken all measures envisaged to reduce the exposure and possibility of transmission of the disease. Measures of disinfection of spaces and vehicles carrying passengers are also being implemented,” Bagarić said.
