BANJA LUKA, October 10 (FENA) - The planned deportation from Syria to Bosnia and Herzegovina of the first group of nine BiH citizens suspected of being members of the so-called Islamic State has been postponed, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić confirmed in Banja Luka today.
The deportation has been postponed until further notice, due to the events in the past 24 hours and the new circumstances that have arisen in Syria.
Turkey's military action was carried out in the area.
Nine BiH nationals who have participated in fighting in Syria and Iraq in previous years have been arrested following the defeat of IDIL in Syria and Iraq, and were to be deported to BiH on suspicion of being part of a terrorist organization.
Upon transfer to BiH, they will be subjected to criminal processing and then handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
