SARAJEVO, March 15 (FENA) – Member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović met in Baku yesterday with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov and thanked him and the Government of Bulgaria for selfless engagement during the EU chairmanship, during which the European perspective of the Western Balkans was brought back among priorities.
Džaferović emphasized that series of good initiatives and projects for improvement of economic, infrastructural, energy and security connectivity between the EU and the Western Balkans and within the Western Balkan region has been launched in a new strategy of the European Commission for the Western Balkans with documents from the summit in Sofia and through mechanisms such as the Berlin Process.
Džaferović and Borisov especially emphasized that strengthening regional cooperation and connectivity is the best way to build trust and improve relations in the region.
Džaferović addressed participants of the Baku Forum at the opening ceremony yesterday and today he will speak at the panel "Present and the Future of the Balkans", Presidency of BiH stated.
