Russian delegation welcomed in Banja Luka without BiH state insignia

BANJA LUKA, April 24 (FENA) – Russian Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko was welcomed today in Banja Luka without a single piece of insignia of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ms. Matviyenko was welcomed by the entity President Milorad Dodik in front of the RS palace, where the flags of RS and the Russian Federation were hoisted, along with the anthems of RS and Russia being played. The honorary platoon of RS MIA reported to the guests.

There was no flag of BiH in the cabinet of Mr. Dodik, and neither it was in the spot provided for giving statements.

A number of citizens gathered in the immediate vicinity, applauding the arrival of the Russian parliamentary delegation.

Ms. Matviyenko was previously welcomed at the Banja Luka Airport by the Speaker of the RS National Assembly Nedeljko Čubrilović.
