Radončić: Put into law that humanitarian flights mean repatriation

FENA Senka Trgovčević

SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić says any flight that poses a potential virus import into BiH must be approved by the BiH Council of Ministers, not by the BiH Minister of Security, and at the request of the BiH Foreign Ministry.

He recalled this fact due to the current situation in which the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda issued a warning about the violation of the Council of Minister's regulations regarding the organization of a flight which was supposed to transport passengers to Sweden on Sunday and returned from Stockholm with BiH citizens.

Radončić believes that there are two ways to resolve this situation. One is to supplement the decision of the Council of Ministers adopted in early March with the statement that "humanitarian flights also entail repatriation or return of our citizens to BiH", and the second is that a Council of Ministers telephone session is to be organized for each flight.

- That, of course, depends on what the President of the Council Zoran Tegeltija is going to propose, and now the situation is such that we have to take into account the illegality of the whole procedure. I hope we can resolve this in a day or two - Radončić said at today's press conference.
