SARAJEVO, October 25 (FENA) - A Slovenian tunnel expert, David Rajšter, said today in Sarajevo at a scientific and expert meeting on the Prenj Tunnel "Challenges to building", that in the case of this tunnel, it is crucial to determine the optimal route.
He also said that it is very important to take into account "the sensitive environment and water resources in the area".
“It is especially important to do geological surveys well, because they hide the biggest risks related to construction, investment and deadlines,” said Rajšter.
He stated that current research is based on existing data, complemented by several smaller surveys, and now it is time to develop a concrete geological exploration plan.
Rajšter pointed out that preparatory work requires a certain amount of time before the tunnel is built, and that the seven-year deadline is only for construction.
