Two more victims of Srebrenica genocide have been identified

TUZLA, April 18 (FENA) - The remains of two victims of the genocide committed in Srebrenica in 1995, who were exhumed in Srebrenica and Zvornik, were identified today in the premises of the Podrinje Identification Project in Tuzla. 

These victims were first identified through the DNA method, and today their identities have been confirmed by members of their families.

Mehmed (Meho) Ibrahimović, born in 1941, was identified. He disappeared in 1995 in the area of Potočari, and his remains were exhumed in 2008 at the location of Kamenica, Zvornik.

The family also confirmed the identity of Nermin (Izet) Kaljević, born in 1977. He also disappeared in 1995, and his remains were exhumed from the Zeleni Jadar mass grave in 2001.

After the identification, the families of these victims gave their consent for their burial at the collective funeral this year in the Potočari Memorial Center – Srebrenica, the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH announced.
