BRUSSELS, February 21 (FENA) - The EU foreign ministers will discuss at today's meeting in Brussels, among other things, the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which they say is facing one of the worst political crises since the end of the war in 1995.

On 18 October 2021, the Council reaffirmed the European Union's unequivocal commitment to the territorial integrity, sovereignty and unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, deploring the country's protracted political crisis and condemning the blockade of state institutions.

On 11 February, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell called on all leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue a serious and meaningful dialogue to ensure a long-term and sustainable solution to the country's current political crisis.

In addition to BiH, the foreign ministers will discuss the security situation in Ukraine and the latest developments regarding Russia's increased military presence around Ukraine.

Today's meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council will be chaired by Josep Borrell, it was announced from the External Action Service of the EU.
