Malaysian plane with medical equipment landed at Sarajevo Airport last night

SARAJEVO, April 16 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Bisera Turković welcomed a plane last night at the Sarajevo Airport from Malaysia with medical equipment intended to help Bosnia and Herzegovina fight the coronavirus pandemic

The plane was welcomed by the Malaysian Ambassador and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH. 

A shipment of two million protective masks was delivered.

The assistance came after the talks between the BiH Presidency Chairman, Šefik Džaferović, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Muhyiddin Yassin, related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The humanitarian aid received is a confirmation of the decades-long friendly relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador said that Malaysia, which itself faces problems caused by the pandemic, will continue to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future, it is said in the statement from the BiH Foreign Ministry.
