Čović and High Representative: All levels of government must show solidarity

SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, spoke on the phone today with the High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko.

They discussed the current difficult health and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The officials emphasized that all levels of government in BiH must show solidarity, reasonable and joint action in this difficult situation in order to recover from the coronavirus pandemic by respecting the measures experts issued.

Speaker Čović and the High Representative stressed that all levels of government must agree and accept solutions to help the economy. The protection of jobs, legal incentive, as well as for businesses, economy and agriculture should not be neglected.

The officials also commented the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing out that any crisis action requires more active cooperation and compromise in all fields, elected officials of all constituent peoples and others in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to improve political relations and the overall atmosphere in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which can only be achieved through concrete reform processes, the BiH Parliamentary Assembly stated.
