MOSTAR, January 27 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović led HDZ BiH delegation on Monday meeting with President of the European People's Party (EPP) Donald Tusk.
The two officials discussed excellent cooperation, the current political situation, electoral legislation and BiH's candidate status, the HDZ BiH stated.
Čović highlighted positive processes in BiH, such as the formation of the BiH Council of Ministers.
He stressed that stable political relations and protection of equality through amendments to the Election Law are crucial for BiH and its citizens.
"Amendments to the electoral legislation will enable legitimate representation of the independent political will of the constituent peoples at all levels of government and holding elections in the City of Mostar," said the HDZ BiH President.
According to him, Croatian political representatives are persistently and strongly committed to BiH's EU membership, fulfilling reform processes, strengthening the rule of law, socio-economic empowerment and European BiH.
The meeting expressed full commitment to BiH's European path, partnership within Europe's strongest political family and further cooperation, HDZ BiH said in a statement.
