SARAJEVO, February 9 (FENA) - Chair of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović met in Zagreb with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and Deputy Prime Minister Marija Pejčinović-Burić, and main topics of the meeting were relations between the two countries, European perspective of BiH and position of Croat people.
They emphasized the need of dynamizing the integration process of BiH in accordance with the newly adopted EU enlargement strategy, which gives special attention to BiH. It was also stressed that only through membership in the EU and NATO, BiH can stop the negative heritage of the past which is obstructing its functioning. Strategy is an important encouragement and great opportunity to take further structural reforms, which can only be achieved through joint effort of all BiH's constituent peoples and other citizens and cooperation of their political representatives.
It was concluded the priority is to accelerate the European integration process so relations in BiH would be normalized.
Prime Minister Plenković emphasized that R Croatia will remain permanently committed to principles of the Dayton Accords, active support and promotion of Euro-Atlantic perspective of BiH and that it wishes to continue building sincere and friendly relations with BiH, Presidency of BiH stated.
