Čavara: I believe in a positive outcome

SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Čavara believes in the positive outcome of today's meeting of representatives of the FBiH Government and the Parliament, which has been convened to try to overcome the stalemate in the work of the FBiH Parliament so that MPs can adopt this year's budget.

Čavara attended part of the meeting of the parliamentary caucus led by the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ-HNS Caucus), which was held simultaneously with the talks between representatives of the Government and the Parliament.

He told reporters that he believed in the positive outcome of the first meeting, and in that case, he added, there would be no reason for the deputies of the HDZ-HNS caucus not to return to the parliament in the coming days.

Asked about the possibility of a possible dissolution of the Parliament because the Federation of BiH has not yet adopted this year's budget, and the document thus has not been confirmed in the Parliament, Čavara said that such a possibility is allowed under the FBiH Constitution, but that he does not want to take such a step for the time being.

I would opt for this solution only if things get complicated to the extent that the dissolution of the Parliament would be a less negative outcome.

For the time being, Čavara believes that the Parliament should not be dissolved, because at the moment, it would be very harmful to the Federation of BiH.
