SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - The FBiH Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts organized a conference entitled "Regulatory Reform and its Implementation at a Local (Municipal) Level" where participants discussed challenges in implementing reforms.
The conference was organized in cooperation with the LIFE Project implementers, the British Embassy and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is a member of the World Bank Group, stated the FBiH Government's Public Relations Office.
During the conference, the representatives of municipalities and cities of BiH will exchange knowledge, and in an active discussion seek solutions for practical issues and challenges that local communities face in the process of implementing regulatory reforms in order to accelerate economic development of the country and attract investment.
FBiH Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Amir Zukić, explained that the participants exchanged today the experiences gained through the implementation of various regulatory reform projects, which the World Bank Group has conducted in 24 local communities in the territory of FBiH over the past ten years.
Senior IFC Development Specialist Tarik Šahović said that the World Bank Group actively supported the process of implementing regulatory reforms in BiH for almost 10 years.
Under the agreement between the FBiH Government and the World Bank Group signed two years ago, the FBiH ministry has joined the implementation of the LIFE Project and has been designated as a carrier of the activities of transferring the methodology and knowledge gained in the process of implementation of regulatory reform in order to be able to independently carry out the activities in partnership with local communities in FBiH.
IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, in cooperation with the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Project for Attracting Investments and Improving the Business Environment at the Local Level – LIFE, is supporting the process of implementing regulatory reforms in local communities throughout BiH.
