SARAJEVO, October 31 (FENA) - The Board of Directors of the Association of BH Journalists urges the Council of the Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA) to analyze in detail the statements of the CRA Director General Draško Milinović regarding his announcements of "rigorous punishments" for FACE TV and its editor-in-chief Senad Hadžifejzović and to determine whether Milinović, as director of the Agency, violated the provisions of professional and ethical performance of his duties.

In the statement of the Board of Directors of the Association of BH Journalists, it is stated that Milinović stated yesterday that CRA ex officio initiated proceedings against FACETelevision, and announced that "the highest possible punishment will be sought" because Senad Hadžifejzović allegedly asked a guest in the program "if Milorad Dodik should be killed".

"Although from the recording of the show, which was published yesterday by numerous media, it is not possible to clearly discern what exactly Hadžifejzović said, the director of the Communications Regulatory Agency "judged" Hadžifejzović and FACE TV in advance, which represents a precedent not recorded so far in the work of CRA," it is stated in the announcement.

The Board of Directors of the Association of BH Journalists points out that no director of the CRA, nor any other sector within the Regulatory Agency, has ever spoken about punishments to the electronic media before the proceedings were completed and all the actors of the disputed case had been heard.

The press release states that Draško Milinović's statements represent direct pressure on FACE TV, as well as misuse of the regulator and its independent position, and the introduction of practices that can cause irreparable damage to other media in BiH - CRA license holders.
