SARAJEVO, October 24 (FENA) – The Central Election Commission of BiH, acting in accordance with the provisions of Article 6.8. paragraph (1) of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, filed a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina today because it believes that a criminal offense related to the electoral process has been committed.
According to the report of the Main Counting Center, acting according to the Order of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated October 10, 2022, 36 falsified ballots were found at two polling stations in Bratunac and one polling station in Šekovići during the examination of the ballots, the Central Election Commission announced.
In addition to submitting a report to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, following Article 6.8 paragraph (2) of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, took the necessary measures to preserve the traces of the allegedly committed criminal act, as well as objects with which or through which the act was committed and other evidence.
Also, according to the report of the Main Counting Center, the re-counting of ballots for the president and vice-presidents of the Republika Srpska has been carried out for 33 municipalities/cities in the Republika Srpska, that is, 1,621 polling stations have been processed, the announcement stated.
