SARAJEVO, August 16 (FENA) – The world premiere of the film "Lights of Sarajevo", dedicated to the glorious past of the Skenderija Hall and the band "Zabranjeno pušenje" directed by Srđan Perkić, took place last night at Cineplexx as part of the Competition Program - Documentary Film of the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival.

The script for the film was written by the leader of the band Davor Sučić alias Sejo Sexon. The film is about the band  "Zabranjeno pušenje" and the importance that the Skenderija Hall had for Sarajevo's cultural scene. But, at the same time, it talks about Seja Sexon himself, his upbringing and the formation and survival of the band.

Producer Amra Hadžihafizbegović-Deović told FENA that working on the film was exciting, and that this is her first big project.

She pointed out that "Zabranjeno pušenje" is an important band for the history of BiH music, the history of Sarajevo culture, and the scene of Sarajevo.

Even in the film, Sejo Sexon points out that they don't need a biography because they tell their story in their songs.

“Bands that enter their backyards, their childhoods, write a biography before the time comes, shake out their lives in front of people. So I think that our biography, especially with this film, is definitely written, and I don't know what else I could share with the audience,” said Sexon.
