BRATUNAC, August 8 (FENA) - Referendum on the impeachment of Bratunac Mayor Srđan Rankić was held yesterday in Bratunac.
President of the Commission for impeachment of the mayor of Bratunac, Ivana Milanović, told FENA that 3,371 citizens voted for the impeachment, while 2,904 votes were against the impeachment and 25 were invalid ballots.
“At 12.00 today we are opening unconfirmed ballots, 644 people voted at unconfirmed polling station and 21 people who voted via a mobile team. We will have the first consolidated results today at 17:00. The total number of voters is 7,065 and according to these results, citizens voted for the impeachemnt of Mayor Srđan Rankić” said Milanović.
On July 7, the members of the Bratunac Municipal Assembly voted on the decision to initiate the impeachment procedure for Bratunac Mayor Srđan Rankić.
