SARAJEVO, June 29 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović talked today with the Executive Director of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO) Zlatko Vujović and the Head of the ENEMO Elections Department Pierre Peytier about the upcoming general elections in BiH, in the context of the activities of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations and its cooperation with the Central Election Commission of BiH.

The talks focused on issues related to the transparency and integrity of the election process, and Chairman Džaferović supported efforts to enable as many observers as possible, as well as their better organization, to prevent illegal activities.

The Chairman of the Presidency of BiH said that he fully supports the so-called integrity package, when it comes to electoral reform, emphasizing that political entities that oppose technical changes have no justifiable reasons, and that they do so against the will of citizens who want more transparent electoral process.

Chairman Džaferović emphasized that the election process, in its direct and indirect part, which refers to filling the houses of the people, was conducted according to the same rules in 2018 and that there is no legal basis for blocking these processes, the BiH Presidency said.
