SARAJEVO, June 28 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić participates in the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference to discuss security issues and challenges in OSCE participating States.

Cikotić emphasized that all security challenges at the global level can indirectly or directly affect stability in Southeast Europe.

He especially pointed out illegal migrations, which represent a great challenge and problem for the entire region, adding that very often well-organized criminal groups that carry out illegal transfer of migrants are behind them.

Also, the key security challenges facing the region, and thus BiH, are the illegal trade in weapons, narcotics, as well as terrorist threats.

Speaking about the new security threats, Cikotić emphasized that radicalization on the Internet, hate speech and fake news cannot be viewed separately from other areas of cyber security, i.e. cyber attacks and cybercrime.

Minister Cikotić pointed out the importance of regional cooperation in the fight against all types of organized crime.
